How to Join ALTAFF
Current ALA Members
To add the ALTAFF division to your current ALA membership, please visit www.ala.org/membership or call (800) 545-2433, ext 5. ALTAFF membership is $50 per year (pro-rated to match your current ALA membership expiration). ALTAFF membership is $50 per year. You may choose one section for free, additional sections are $15 each.
New ALA Members
If you are not yet a member of ALA, you can join as a Personal Member, Trustee, Friend, or Foundation. Rates for new Personal members begin at $60 for the first year. Trustees, Friends, and Foundations pay just $59 each year. ALTAFF membership is $50 per year. You may choose one section for free, additional sections are $15 each. Those wishing to join as a Trustee, Friend, or Foundation member of ALA may call (800) 545-2433, ext 5; mail the printable form with payment; or visit www.ala.org/membership.
Friends Group or Trustee Board Affiliate
A Friends Group or Board of Trustees can directly join ALTAFF as an affiliate to receive publications and online members only resources. This is not a voting membership for ALA or ALTAFF, and does not include any of the benefits afforded to ALA personal members. To join as an affiliate, please call (800) 545-2433, ext 5 or mail the printable form.
Current ALTA Members: All current ALTA members have been automatically transferred to the Trustee section of ALTAFF. No action is needed on your part to continue receiving your subscription to The Voice and to access members only resources on the ALTA website. Once the ALTAFF website is fully developed, your current login will work on the new ALTAFF website.
Current FOLUSA Members: All FOLUSA members will be automatically transferred to the appropriate ALTAFF section or Affiliate status over the next few months. No action is needed to continue receiving your subscription to News Update and to access members only resources on the FOLUSA website. Once the ALTAFF website is fully developed, your current login will work on the new ALTAFF website.
