Home  Assn. for Library Service to Children (ALSC)
Welcome to the Web site of the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), dedicated to creating a better future for children through libraries. Our primary goal is to lead the way in forging excellent library service for ALL children. We seek to do this through our prestigious media awards, including the Caldecott and Newbery Medals; high-quality programming and continuing education opportunities; publications; and national initiatives, including legislative advocacy on the national level.
The 2009 Newbery Caldecott Wilder Banquet will be held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers on Sunday, July 12, during ALA's Annual Conference in Chicago.
