Dear ANO Readers,
This 20th volume of ANO will consist of four issues rather than the usual six. Since both Midwinter and Annual have been scheduled later than usual in 2009, the turnaround time for reports would be impractically short. The issues will be delivered using this schedule:
- March: Midwinter reports, election coverage
- June: Annual preview
- September: Annual wrap-up and reports
- December: Midwinter 2010 preview
Reports and other submissions will be due no later than the 15th of the month preceding publication.
Vol.20, No.1 / March 2009
Letters from ALCTS
In addition to the Midwinter reports, see the 2009 election information, which includes details on the candidates for ALA President and the roster for ALCTS officers. The elections begin soon, and our goal is to give you information to make informed choices. | MORE
Continuing education is a vital focus for ALCTS. A wide scope of excellent initiatives are currently underway in the division and sections. Effective communication, coordination, and cooperation among all the Education Committees is crucial to a successful ALCTS continuing education program. | MORE
ALA and ALCTS remain very conservative in our finances. Except for the salaries of the staff, ALCTS (and ALA) spends very little that is not directed to the membership, whether that is education, publications, conferences, programs, and more. | MORE
