Editor Sought for ALCTS Papers SeriesALCTS is seeking applications for the position of editor of the ALCTS Papers on Library Technical Services and Collections series.
The editor, working in close conjunction with the Program Planning Committee, the Budget and Finance Committee, and the Publications Committee, identifies promising continuing education sessions and programs as they are being proposed and approaches potential contributors as they develop their presentations and programs. Once the session or program has occurred, the editor works with the contributors to produce a timely collection of papers from their presentations. The editor provides counsel and support for contributors, editing manuscripts for consistency and uniform style. The editor serves as a voting, ex-officio member of the Publications Committee and is strongly encouraged to attend meetings of the Program Planning Committee as well. The editor is appointed for a three year, renewable term and receives travel support for the ALA Annual and Midwinter meetings. To receive this appointment, the series editor must retain ALCTS membership for the duration of her or his term of office.
