On a historical note, this group was a division-wide ALCTS standing committee that adopted the ALCTS interest group structure. An interest group maintains the committee's ability to produce programs and publications and combines that with the minimal structure and open forum concepts of a discussion group. Interest groups, which design their own structure to best fit their needs, may have a chair and other officers.
