Charge: To study the application of classificatory frameworks, such as DDC, LCC, NLM Classification and others, as metadata for digital resources. To develop a plan to promote the use of classificatory frameworks in this manner to indexing and cataloging agencies. A preliminary report should be presented to SAC by Midwinter Meeting 1999 and a final report at Annual Conference 1999.
