Editorial: Reflections on Liberty Square: Part II, by Irving E. Rockwood. Choice staff is now contentedly at work in its new home.

   Choice in Middletown ... A Long Tradition. Richard Gardner, founding editor of Choice, explains how the magazine came to be located in Connecticut rather than Chicago. Irving E. Rockwood, the current editor and publisher, then talks about Choice's latest move.

    The First Horseman and History: Epidemic Disease and Civilization, by Fred R. van Hartesveldt, professor of history and head of the department of history, geography, political science, and criminal justice at Fort Valley State University, Fort Valley, Georgia. hartesvf@fvsu.edu.

Van Hartesveldt evaluates works concerning the influence of disease on the development of history and culture, particularly in the Western world since the early modern era (14th-16th centuries). The author considers more than 100 resources.

   Youth and Society: Significant Choice Reviews. In the latest installment of this annual interdisciplinary feature, three Choice editors gather reviews on works that deal with the powerful effect of youth and youth culture on society.
