Dr. Heath is the Vice Provost and Dean of the University of Texas - Austin Libraries. He has served as the President of the Association of Research Libraries and is the co-creator of the successful LibQUAL+ service quality assessment tool. Dr. Heath will discuss the importance of assessment in libraries.
Dave Baca is the Director of Communications and Marketing at the University of Arizona Library. He has been involved in LibQUAL+ and has recently completed a future needs assessment of UA science/technology customers using an institutionally approved interview protocol. Dave will discuss developing effective interview techniques, using text analysis tools, and identifying actionable items from the interviews.
Lisa Janicke Hinchliffe is the Coordinator of Information Literacy Services and Instruction at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is actively involved in ACRL instruction and information literacy initiatives. In addition to exploring the relationship between student learning outcomes and instructional program assessment activities, Lisa will discuss how to collect evidence of student learning and use the data for improvement and evaluation.
David Consiglio has written and taught extensively in the areas of statistics, research, and survey methodology. At Bryn Mawr College, he is actively involved in the development and administration of over a dozen survey projects, including many projects involving several colleges. David will discuss how to develop surveys and collect and analyze statistical data.
Brian Quigley serves as the Electronic Outreach Librarian at the Kresge Engineering Library at the University of California, Berkeley, and has done usability testing for library websites and online catalogs. With a focus on practical tips and activities, Brian will discuss how to plan and conduct these tests as well as how to analyze and apply the results.

Peggy Johnson is Associate University Librarian at the Unviersity of Minnesota. Sheis the author of Fundamentals of Collection Development and Management and teaches a two-day ALCTS workshop on collection development and management. She will provide an overview of collection analysis -- why we do it -- and explore different approaches, with some practical examples of applications.
Annie Zeidman-Karpinski is the Science & Technology Services Librarian at the University of Oregon. She also maintains "Another Academic Science Librarian", a blog at http://bibliothec.blogspot.com/.
