Committee Background
Charge
To assist the IS Executive Committee in the development and fulfillment of the IS Strategic Plan by collecting and summarizing information about Section committee activities as submitted in the planning forms. Planning maintains and updates these forms on the Section web site and sends out timely reminders to committee chairs prompting them to submit their information. Planning also assists the Executive Committee in revising the IS Strategic Plan and contributing to the ACRL environmental scan as needed.

Meetings
Committees generally meet twice at the Midwinter Meeting and once at the Annual Conference. Midwinter meetings are closed; Annual meetings may be open to visitors. Check the full schedule of IS meetings which is posted about one month before each conference on the IS home page.

View minutes from committee meetings, by choosing a conference date and then the committee name.

Current Projects
Review the Section's Planning Process and make recommendations for changes in accordance with the Instruction Section of the Future Task Force Recommendations (pdf).
Prepare a plan to implement collection of measurable data from IS committees.
