Executive Committee Officers have an extensive list of responsibilities, including serving as
liaisons to each of the IS committees and task forces. Committee appointments are handled by the Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect. Each year IS members may volunteer by February 15 for a standing committee appointment; appointments are made in the spring; and terms begin after the ALA Annual Conference. The Appointment Cycle Reports detail the demographics of current IS committee members.
IS members can submit nominations for IS Officers at any point during the year.
