Volunteer Serving on a committee is a excellent way to learn more about the section, work on creative projects, connect to interesting and talented people, and grow as a professional. Committee members must be members of ALA and AAMES and are expected to attend all of the committee's meetings at both Midwinter and Annual Conferences during their term on the committee. Committee appointments are for two years, beginning after Annual Conference.
As the Vice-Chair of AAMES, I invite you to participate in the work and collegiality of the Section by volunteering to serve on an AAMES committee. Look at the Committee Charges to familiarize yourself with the goals of each committee. Volunteer forms received by February of each year will be considered for appointment beginning the following summer. Volunteer forms received after this deadline will be held for the following year, or to fill in vacancies as they arise. |
