AAMES cordially invites you to contribute to a renewed initiative of the AAMES Librarianship/Language Knowledgebase. The project is to create a virtual global knowledgebase of professionals specializing in AAMES subject areas from the United States as well as from countries around the world. This database will be a valuable resource for the AAMES members to share and collaborate on new ideas or projects, especially in the areas of collections, reference, instruction, and catalog.
With your acceptance of this informal invitation, AAMES will send you a formal invitation to participate in the project. You will be expected to provide the library expertise to help librarians in the United States who have library questions on such topics as collections, reference, instruction, and cataloging related to AAMES areas. Furthermore, you will be expected to provide brief biography and contact information which will be published on the AAMES Website.
You can choose to volunteer service on a long or short (1 year) term basis. AAMES will acknowledge your professional services by the end of each year. By participating in such a project, you will provide an invaluable resource and expertise in serving Asian, African, and Middle East librarians, researcher, and other patrons.
AAMES is eagerly waiting for your participation in and commitment to this project. For more information please contact Mr. Yue Li, Collection Services, Florida State University University Library at:yli3@mailer.fsu.edu or Triveni Kuchi, Rutgers University Libraries, Kilmer Library, Rutgers University at: kuchi@rci.rutgers.edu
