Learning4Life (L4L) Webinar

Information Literacy Self-Assessment Strategies

Looking for strategies to help learners self-assess their ability to apply the Standards for 21st-Century Learner? In this webinar, participants will design assessment strategies that will enable learners to gauge their ability to apply the information literacy standards as they gather, evaluate and use information. Participants will also use the evidence gathered from learner self-assessments to assess instructional outcomes. Examples of assessment strategies will be provided and access to an information literacy assessment strategies pathfinder.

Webinar Objectives

The participants will:

  1. Identify the types of self-assessments that can help students (and educators) gauge their understandings and interaction with "the standards."
  2. Be able to access resources to support assessment design.
  3. Be able to use or modify student self-assessments to be used as educator assessments of student work.
