University of Colorado Denver School Library and Instructional Leadership Program is honored to offer low cost .5 graduate credits for attending the AASL School Library Advocacy Institute Midwinter Preconference.

This institute provides information, resources, and strategies that will help define advocacy and facilitate the development of long-term advocacy action plans for school library media programs. This Institute incorporates various tools available to school librarians, including School Library Media Health & Wellness Toolkit and the Crisis Toolkit, AASL's newest toolkits. They feature online resources, publications, and articles to assist school library media specialists in developing stakeholder support and creating advocates for their programs.

AASL MEMBER: $189; ALA Member: $229; Non-Member: $279

For ease of registering, please note:

  • You do not need to register for the conference to attend the institute.
  • If you are not attending the conference, you will need to print out and mail/fax your registration.
