I Wonder...

All research begins with a question. It is important to spend some time thinking about your question. Try to get general information about your topic to help you.

Ideas to keep in mind:

  • What do I want to find out?
  • What do I already know?
  • Has someone else researched this topic already?
  • Am I asking a "good" question?
  • Do I care about what I am researching?

If you are "stumped" the following websites might help. It's also a great idea to talk to your school media specialist. He/she is an expert in understanding the research process.

The Internet Public Library
Find information on a variety of topics or use it to get ideas for further research.

KidsClick!
Another site designed by librarians that can help you find background information or ideas for research.
