ALA Committee on Membership Meetings
Charge
To plan the agenda for the membership meetings specified in ALA Policy 7.4.10; to identify potential discussion topics for the membership meetings; to educate the membership about the purposes of the membership meeting and the opportunities it offers members; to identify and recommend incentives for attendance; to advise staff on logistics for membership meetings; to oversee publicity plans for membership meetings; to assess the effectiveness of the membership meetings in addressing the ALA membership’s needs; and to recommend changes in light of that assessment.Roster

Composition
The Membership Meetings Committee consists of Nine (9) members with staggered terms. Chairperson to be appointed annually. One of the members shall be an ALA Executive Board Representative.
Origin
The ALA Committee on Membership Meetings was established by the ALA Council at the 2003 ALA Midwinter Meeting.
Get Involved
ALA values committed and active committee members. Qualified members are welcome to volunteer to serve on [insert committee name here]. Committee members must have an interest in the work of the committee; be able to attend Annual Conferences and Midwinter Meetings to participate in the meetings and activities of the committee; and be able to work between conferences via e-mail and ALA Connect. Express your interest in serving on this or other committees by filling out an application form. Appointments take place once a year, during the spring.
