- Support staff application - Use for library support staff, paralibrarians, and paraprofessionals. Includes Joint Memberships and packages as of September 1, 2009
- Student application - Use for any student enrolled in degree or certification program at any level. Please visit our Chapter Relations office website for information about several Joint Memberships with state chapters and affiliates that are available for students.
- Organizational application - Use for all libraries and non-profits, including international libraries.
- Corporate application - Use for all businesses that wish to become members of the Association.
- Life application - Use if you would like to join ALA as a Life Member.
