Non-Salaried Membership
Non-Salaried Membership is a special discounted membership intended for individual librarians and library workers who are un- or under-employed. For individuals who would otherwise be eligible for Regular Membership but earn less than $25,000 per year as a full- or part-time library or information worker, you are invited to join or renew at the Non-Salaried rate. For individual members from any category of membership who are currently un-employed, you are also invited to renew at the discounted Non-Salaried Rate while unemployed. ALA does ask that you return to your former membership level when your financial situation stabilizes.
Non-Salaried Members are full Personal Members of the American Library Association with the same rights, privileges, and benefits of membership.
