Associate Membership

Associate Membership is reserved for two types of library supporters: Those individuals who work for companies that serve the library market, and those individuals who are not employed in a library in any way (or do not participate directly in the governance of a library – like trustees) who want to support the work of the Association through Personal Membership.

Associate Members are full members of the ALA with all the rights, privileges, and benefits of Personal Membership

Associate Members make a special commitment to ALA through membership and are welcome by the wider membership to participate on committees and to volunteer time and energy to advancing the work of the Association. Associate Members are integral to the success of the Exhibits Round Table (ERT), the group concerned with expanding the involvement and visibility of the vendor community at and beyond Annual Conference and the Midwinter Meeting.

Corporate Members of ALA automatically designate an individual from their company as an Associate Member. Other Personal Members, including other staff at Corporate Member companies, are invited to join ALA today.
