BUREAU OF THE CENSUS ASKED TO CONSIDER LIBRARIANS FOR APPOINTMENTS TO OFFICIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEES

WHEREAS librarians are directly involved in mediating much of the public use of census data, and

WHEREAS librarians should, therefore, be involved in the development of census products which will best serve the needs of the user,

BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of the Bureau of the Census be requested to recommend that librarians be appointed to the various official advisory committees of the Bureau.
