Registration Information and Deadlines
Online and Advance registration for the 2006 ALA Midwinter Meeting is now CLOSED. Onsite registration will open on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 8:00 am. Registration will be located in the Gonzalez Convention Center. Photo ID is required.
Onsite Registration
Onsite
registration begins Friday, January 20. Bring your membership
card or proof of dues payment, and photo ID.
Onsite Registration will be available in the Gonzalez Convention Center, East Registration Lobby (on the Street Level, near Hall C)
Hours will be:
Friday, January 20: 8:00 am - 7:30 pm
Saturday, January 21 - Sunday, January 22: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Monday, January 23: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm
Additional events that require additional registration are listed on the Special
Registration Events page. Most of these events are now closed to registration - check at the Registration Desk onsite to see if an event is still open.

Exhibit Only Registration
Visit
the exhibits only, for $25. An exhibits only pass is good
for all 4 days of the exhibits (Friday evening, Saturday-Monday).
Exhibit only badges will be available on site. No refunds
for Exhibits Only registration. Learn more about the Exhibits.
Confirmations
The ALA
Registration office will e-mail or mail a registration confirmation
to all registered attendees. If you do not receive a written
confirmation within three weeks, please call ALA’s Customer
Service Center at 800-545-2433 to verify your registration
status.
Badges
If registration
is received by December 9, 2005, your badge will be mailed
to you no later than two weeks before the conference. If you registered online after December 9 or your registration was faxed or postmarked after December 9, you will need to pick up your badge at the Will Call/Corrections Counter at Registration in the Gonzalez Convention Center (see "Onsite Registration" above).
Badges
will not be sent to countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
Residents of other nations may pick up badges at the Will
Call/Corrections Counter in the Gonzalex Convention Center.
Refunds
and Cancellations
Substitutions
are welcome at any time. Otherwise, registration cancellations
must be made in writing and postmarked or faxed by December
9, 2005.Cancellations
will result in a full refund less a $25 processing fee.
No phone
cancellations will be accepted. No refunds for cancellations
postmarked after December 9, 2005. No ”Exhibits Only” refunds.
Refunds
will be processed after the Midwinter Meeting.
Children’s
Policy
Strollers
are permitted on the exhibit floor, but only if there is a
child in them at all times. Unescorted children are not permitted
on the exhibit floor. Children under the age of five must
be restrained at all times (stroller, back pack, etc.). Any
child over the age of five must have an exhibits only badge
to be admitted to the exhibit floor. These badges are available
at onsite registration for $25. An adult must accompany all
children under the age of 16.
