Grassroots Program 2009 ALA Grassroots Programs were presented at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago. ALA Membership Meetings: Libraries in Hard TimesJoin us for two open forums highlighting the role of libraries during a recession. Take advantage of these opportunities to address the ALA Leaders and offer your vote on resolutions. Membership Meetings are an important way that you can affect what ALA does! 2009 ALA Membership Meetings will be held on Saturday, July 11, 3:30-5:00 pm and Monday, July 13, 11:30 am-1:00 pm. Location: Council and Membership Meeting Chambers. Preconferences and Special EventsPreconferences and Special Events are NOT included with a meeting registration, and require an additional registration. These events may be chosen on the online registration form. The Event Code provided for each event is needed if you register using the paper form.
