 The ALA Midwinter Meeting is convened for the primary purpose of expediting the business of the Association. At Midwinter, ASCLA committees meet to work on their objectives, but there are also small group discussions and other opportunities for continuing education.
Use menu items at left or links below to find information on specific ASCLA events. Also check under "Related Files" for schedules and meeting information. We are also updating a Google Calendar for all ASCLA activities throughout the year, including Midwinter. Explore best practices related to the physical delivery of materials between libraries and delivery directly to patrons. Our goal is to increase and improve high volume, low cost delivery options to libraries. We ’ll discuss best practices related to physical delivery, including in-house trucking systems, contracting with courier companies and using national services like UPS or Fed Express. Question: do we want to do an IMLS grant to explore linking existing courier systems?
