Recommended Book Lists from ALSC

The Association for Library Service to Children promotes reading and books through recommendations, compilations of lists, and related services.

Great Early Elementary Reads - May 2008
The ALSC 2007-2008 School-Age Programs and Services Committee recommends these titles for children who are just learning to read and beginning to read on their own. The books included were published between 2005 and 2008. However, many are part of a larger series that young readers will also enjoy.
