McGorry, who had been the company’s executive vice president for licensing and electronic development, succeeds Joe Tessitore, who was named to the post in January 2003. A 30-year veteran of business publishing, McGorry also served at Reed as senior vice president of its television and telecommunications group; before joining RBI, he worked for Capital Cities/ABC.
