
Radice succeeds Robert S. Martin and will serve for a four-year term. The IMLS directorship alternates between individuals from the museum and library communities.
Both Michael Gorman, president of the American Library Association, and Edward H. Able Jr., president and CEO of the American Association of Museums, heralded the appointment as an excellent choice, with Gorman welcoming Radice’s “commitment to museums paired with a deep understanding of the importance of America’s libraries.”
