
“We felt that we wanted to do something for the community that would help everybody, not just the students, but senior citizens, families, and all those people who use the library,” said Debra Warstler, the students’ adviser, in the May 12 Canton Repository.
The students raised the money—which will go toward books, DVDs, CDs, and young-adult books on tape—through contests and raffles, extracurricular activities clubs, and Fisher Foods’ Fisher for Dollars program.
No one has yet been charged in the crime, but police continue to investigate.
