Tessitore Takes the Helm As LJ PublisherJoe Tessitore, managing director of the Reed Business Information Publishing Group, has been promoted to vice president and group publisher. The January 15 Publishers Weekly NewsLine reported that he will be responsible for the strategic development of Library Journal, School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, Library Hotline, Corporate Library Hotline, and Críticas. Tessitore succeeds Fred Ciporen, who was recently named president of Reed’s new book publishing unit, RBI Press. Before coming to Reed, Tessitore served for 10 years as president of Grolier/Scholastic Publishing, where he developed and launched the successful Grolier Online. Posted January 20, 2003. |
