Endowed Chair Established
at Dominican GSLIS
The Follett Library and School Group will endow a chair at Dominican University’s Graduate School of Library and Information Science in River Forest, Illinois. Established by President and CEO Ross Follett, the appointment will be held by a distinguished scholar for a one- to three-year term beginning in the fall of 2002.
“As one of only four chairs in the United States, this certainly places Dominican University in a leadership position,” GSLIS Dean Prudence Dalrymple said. “Our faculty will be highly involved in the selection process to highlight areas of strength and to identify a center of excellence.”
The scholar who is chosen for this appointment will be involved in teaching, conducting research, and presenting faculty seminars and public lectures to enhance the profile of the graduate library school.
