Child Molester Sentenced for Using LAPL
to Distribute Kid Porn

A convicted child molester was sentenced January 14 to three years and eight months in prison for using computers at the Los Angeles Public Library to distribute child pornography and send e-mail to members of a sex club made up of pedophiles.

The Los Angeles Times reported January 15 that Jack Hornbeck, 46, entered a plea of no contest to two felony counts just as his trial was set to begin. Hornbeck was arrested in Van Nuys, California, last February following a two-month Internet sting operation in which Los Angeles Police Department detectives tracked his online moves.
