College Librarian Sentenced in Child Pornography CaseA former research librarian at North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene has been sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison and three years probation for possession of child pornography. David M. Perrault had pleaded guilty in federal court in December on charges he downloaded hundreds of photos onto the library computer. The photos were originally uncovered during routine maintenance early last year. After it was determined that Perrault was the source, local police were contacted, who then contacted the FBI. Perrault, who graduated from library school in 1994 and began working at the library in August 1996, resigned after the discoveries were made. Posted March 8, 1999. |
