Pennsylvania Librarian Missing

Dorothy Corbett, director of the Bethel Park (Pa.) Public Library for the past 22 years, has been missing since February 16 when she left the library for an afternoon appointment. According to the February 19 Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Corbett called her husband to say she would leave their car parked in the lot of the store where he worked, which she did. That was the last time anyone heard from her.

Lois Hoop, director of the Upper St. Clair Township Library, said she doubted Corbett would go anywhere without telling her family. “I talked to her Monday morning,” she said. “We were working on a grant together.” Her husband Charles appeared on local TV news and asked for any information that might help find her.
