Horrocks Wins Highest HonorsNorman Horrocks, editorial consultant for Scarecrow Press and adjunct professor and former director of Dalhousie University library school, has been selected by the British Library Association for an honorary fellowship "in recognition of outstanding contribution to the relations between the professions in North America and the United Kingdom." To be awarded in October, the recognition will make the British-born Horrocks the first librarian to have received highest honors from the American, Canadian, and British Library Associations: In 1995 he won both the ALA Lippincott Award for his "lifetime of excellence and achievement" in tutoring "generations of officers and leaders" and the CLA Distinguished Service to Librarianship Award.
