Description:
What are the tools and why we need to know them? Gain an understanding of how children search library catalogs and how this affects the practice of cataloging children’s materials while still meeting national cataloging standards. A learning opportunity of the specific subject access needs for children’s catalogs, how to enhance records to meet special needs and how to deal with problem materials. Based on the 4th edition of Cataloging Correctly for Kids and the web publication "Resources for Catalogers of Children’s Materials."
