Description: Application Profiles are documents used to define metadata elements and policies for a particular metadata implementation. They have emerged as a solution to documenting the often complex synthesis of multiple metadata standards. This session, intended for librarians building, organizing or describing digital collections, will provide examples of current work and guidance on creating and publishing application profiles. Speakers will address issues of the mixing of metadata standards in light of RDA and other metadata developments.
