Multilingual Glossary: Acknowledgements

The first draft of the Glossary was prepared by members of the Instruction to Diverse Populations Committee who served during 1994-1995 under the leadership of Kwasi Sarkodie-Mensah, Chair.

The Instruction to Diverse Populations completed revisions during 1995-1996 under the leadership of Poping Lin, Chair. Poping Lin wishes to acknowledge the help of the many students and faculty members of the Department of Foreign Languages at Purdue University who helped develop the Japanese and Korean image files for the Language Table.

The Instruction to Diverse Populations Committee tested the Glossary in 1996 while Kim Eccles was chair. Thanks are extended to Committee Member Philip Howze for conducting the trials and collecting the results.

During 1996-1998, while Marta Davis was chair, the Glossary Task Force made further revisions and moved the working document to the Instruction Section Web site. Thanks are extended to Betty Tsai, Poping Lin, Philip Howse, who have been a part of the project since the first draft, and to Elizabeth Dupuis, past Instruction Section Web Administrator.
