Call for Comments Regarding the Proficiencies for Instruction Librarians and Coordinators Draft Document

The Instruction Section’s Proficiencies for Instruction Librarians Task Force created the attached draft document to establish a set of guidelines for instruction librarians and coordinators. It is the Task Force’s hope that these proficiencies will assist academic libraries to clearly define responsibilities and to provide training for librarians who teach and coordinate instructional services.

Please let us know what you think about these proficiencies. All comments are welcome. If your comments refer to a particular proficiency, please reference that number in your email message. In order for the Task Force to have time to revise the document prior to Annual Conference, we will be accepting comments until APRIL 26, 2006.

Please send your comments to Clara Fowler at fowler@uh.edu.
