About the Cover
The cover illustration is a cover from the Thanksgiving 1936 menu from the Hotel del Coronado Collection housed in Special Collections and University Archives at the San Diego State University Library and Information Access. The collection contains photographs, advertising materials, guest ledgers, financial records, menus, and other printed ephemera from the landmark Hotel del Coronado, which was a favorite resort of celebrities, dignitaries, and royalty during the Gilded Age as well as today.
