About the Cover

The cover image, Market on the Water Front, is an oil on canvas painting by Grene Klumpers (Curacao) from the William L. Bryant Foundation Collection, Special Collections Department, University of Central Florida (UCF) Libraries, Orlando, Florida. The collection of West Indies art, artifacts, and rare books was established in 1950 by William J. Bryant, in honor of his father, and moved to UCF in 1972. It now contains more than 1,900 rare books and other printed materials, metal and fiber arts, sound recordings, paintings, sculptures, and maps. Additional images from the Bryant Collection can be viewed online at www.lib.ucf.edu/SpecialCollections/Bryant/.
