 Volunteering
Service on an EBSS committee is a wonderful way to come to the center of the Section's life, the place where projects are created, satisfying connections made, and talented EBSS committee members share their insights and best practices with each other. Committee members must be members of ALA and EBSS and are expected to attend all of the committee's meetings at both Midwinter and Annual Conferences during their term on the committee. Committee appointments are for two years, beginning after Annual Conference.
As the Vice-Chair of EBSS, I invite you to participate in the work and collegiality of the Section by volunteering to serve on a Section committee. Look at the Committee Charges to familiarize yourself with the goals of each committee. Volunteer forms received by February of each year will be considered for appointment beginning the following summer. Volunteer forms received after this deadline will be held for the following year, or to fill in vacancies as they arise.
