Information Literacy Consultants:

This list provides names, contact information, and a short description of the experience and areas of subject expertise of the ACRL Information Literacy Consultants. Information Literacy Consultants work with ACRL units in the creation of discipline-specific information literacy standards that complement the Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education.   • Served on the ACRL Standards & Accreditation Committee since 2004, helping to refine several sets of discipline-specific information literacy standards
  • Used the standards as a guide in preparing instructional materials

  • Integrated information literacy into college-wide Abilities during previous position at Spokane Valley Community College
  • At Spokane Valley Community College collaborated with faculty member in Education to develop information literacy-related learning outcomes for her class, which were cross-references with IL standards; also developed performance indicators and rubrics to measure the level of student learning for the outcomes and created library sessions to address outcomes
  • At Portland State University, has correlated the goals of the University Studies program with the ACRL IL Standards; works with the University Studies faculty when they assess learning outcomes annually
  • Did an Information Literacy Inventory to assess how widespread information literacy was in the disciplines
