Funding for Military Libraries
$4.24 billion:
To provide funding for facility sustainment, restoration and modernization associated with maintaining physical structures at Department of Defense posts, camps and stations in the United States and its territories. The money is allotted separately to each military branch.
- This money could be used to modernize libraries on military installations.
$1.33 billion:
To be used for the construction of hospitals.
- When a military hospital is being modernized or newly constructed, it is vitally important to include a library specifically for the use of patients.
