The Art of Making Mazes

  • Maze creator Christopher Berg’s site Amazeingart.com provides a number of free downloadable mazes as well as a tutorial, “Learn How to Draw Mazes,” and an overview of maze types and terms.
  • For more on the history of mazes and labyrinths, ancient mazes, maze patterns, turf and hedge mazes, visit Jo Edkin’s site, The History of Mazes and Labyrinths. Edkin’s also provides information on how to design a variety of mazes and an interactive Online Maze Designer.
  • Learn more about labyrinths at Roxie Munro’s Web site for step-by-step instructions for making a geometric and a Random Roxie maze. Visitors can also print out five of Munro’s mazes to solve and color.
