Older Adults

Communities are faced with various transitions. One common change in population demography is the increase in older adults. According to the Administration on Aging, by 2030, 70 million Americans will be 65 and older. For most communities, this is a positive experience opening the door to various opportunities to engage older adults and enrich their lives. Public libraries, as community focal points, can proactively prepare to serve the older adult population by creating meaningful programs/services. This is the original working draft of the toolkit for Serving Older Adults @ your library.
