National Board Standards for Library Media Specialists

These questions that confront all of us in the field of education are central to the mission of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS)....For the past two years, a group of teacher librarians, school library media educators, and library supervisors have been meeting in Washington, D.C. to write the certifying standards that will enable school library media specialists in this country to become nationally certified.
