Learning Standards In order recognize the changing role of school library media programs now and in the future, AASL has begun to develop new learning standards for school library media programs. The new Standards will be launched at the AASL National Conference in Reno in October 2007.

School/Public Library Cooperative Activities ALSC/AASL/YALSA Joint Task Force on School/Public Library Cooperative Activities looks at local and national models of school/public library cooperative activities.
Standards for the 21st-Century Learner in Action - 1st Draft The AASL Learning Standards Indicators and Assessment Task Force presents for review and input the first draft of Standards for the 21st Century Learner in Action. This piece will be revised based on input from AASL members. A second draft, expected to be posted for comment in September 2008, will include Benchmarks and Action Examples for Standards 2, 3, and 4. All AASL members are encouraged to thoroughly examine and critique the contents of this document before June 6, 2008.
