Partners Program Overview

The PLA Partners Program enables PLA to provide its members to provide training workshops, preconferences, special services, and assist in improving public library service. PLA Partners help underwrite all PLA events, either directly or indirectly. Without Partner support, much of what PLA offers its members would not be possible.

There are four levels of support:

Bronze Partner $500 to $999
Silver Partner $1,000 to $4,999
Gold Partner $5,000 to $9,999
Platinum Partner

$10,000 and up

The Way the Program Works

Our Partner year runs the length of our fiscal year, September-August. Your contribution will include a full year of recognition from PLA if you sign up by September. Click here for a list of opportunities in the coming year. As a PLA Partner, you will be recognized in many ways including, but not limited to:

  • On multiple mailings to more than 10,000 public librarians;
  • Signage at all major PLA events;
  • A link to your web page from ours, with a thank you on the PLA Web page (Gold Partners and above);
  • Listing in advertisements thanking our partners in Public Libraries and American Libraries magazines;
  • Partner star and badge ribbons for your exhibit booth and staff at ALA Midwinter and Annual Conference and at signage PLA produces for the ALA meetings;
  • Thanks from the podium at major PLA events, whenever possible;
  • Regular thanks in our electronic newsletter (sent monthly to over 7,000 PLA members)
  • Features in e-newsletter on your company (Gold Partners only).

If your library uses a vendor who would like to become a PLA Partner, please call Joe Potaczek, PLA Deputy Director, at 800-545-2433, ext. 5025;  jpotaczek@ala.org.
