  • Anyone looking to connect in person can use the Spectrum Event Planning Form to share information about what conferences you plan on attending and/or if you are interested in getting to know Scholars in your area through a meetup or social outing.

Professional Development

As part of ALA's commitment to creating a scholarship program that supports Scholars throughout their careers, we partner with library organizations to offer ongoing professional development that provides additional opportunities for Scholars' leadership in the profession. 

Current Opportunities for Scholars:

  • ACRL's EJ Josey Spectrum Mentoring Program for academic librarianship: the Spring 2018 deadline to apply to be matched with a mentor has passed.  Another call will be posted in the Fall.  If you are interested in serving as a mentor, please apply
