Literacy Innovations

ALA President Barbara Stripling’s “Libraries Change Lives” monthly webinar series continues with “Literacy Innovations in Libraries.” This free webinar will focus on methods, techniques, and ideas to help keep libraries of all types on the forefront of innovative trends in the profession.  Attendees will hear from nationally recognized speakers including Heather Moorefield Lang of Virginia Tech University, presenting “Handheld Devices in Libraries: a Case Study;” Valerie Hill of Ethridge Elementary School (Texas), presenting “Minecraft and Digital Citizenship;” and Mark McBride of Monroe County Community College (N.Y.), discussing “Information Literacy and the 21st Century College Student.”
