Community invited to “Declaration for the Right to Libraries” signing ceremony
The NAME OF LIBRARY will host a community signing ceremony for the “Declaration for the Right to Libraries” on DATE at TIME. The ceremony will take place at the library [or other location], ADDRESS.
Who: The NAME OF LIBRARY and any other co-sponsoring organizations.
What (sample): Library Board President Keith Richards and Honorary Chair Diana Nyad will lead a brief presentation about the library and will unveil the library’s Declaration. Also scheduled to present are Mayor Stacey Spacey, noted local author and postmaster Colson Whitehead, and Niles East High School team captains, Steve Banks (football) and Christine Quinn (debate). Following the presentation, all attendees will be invited to sign the Declaration.

Where: NAME OF LOCATION / ADDRESS. Any special instructions regarding parking or place(s) to enter.
Why: Libraries nationwide are organizing declaration singings as part of Libraries Change Lives, an initiative of the American Library Association. The signings are meant to raise public awareness about the critical role that libraries play in the community, to generate dialogue about the needs of the community, and how the library can be a solution to those needs.
